Michael, a real estate investment fund manager, developed the plan to preserve and restore the Mizner building and its Fatio-designed neighbor at 270 South County Road. Michael R. The bar would not be a sit-down counter, but rather a service bar station for preparing drinks for those seated within the conservatory and the outdoor courtyard, according to town documents. No seats are proposed at the bar, and only hotel staff would be able to obtain drinks at the service station bar in order to fulfill drink orders.

Despite early objections from neighbors and approval issues with a Palm Beach town board, construction on the Carriage House social club is proceeding on schedule. Uptown on Fifth Avenue, Brazilian restaurateur and JHSF opened the Fasano Club at Fasano Fifth Avenue last year. With interiors by architect Thierry W. Despont, the club offers members the opportunity to book 3,600-square-foot, full-floor duplex suites overlooking Central Park.

But it attached 31 operating conditions, intended to address traffic, parking, noise and other concerns.
